The National Meteorological Centre has advised the public to exercise caution as haze continues to affect the Maldives.
The agency stated that the northern and southern regions of the Maldives are currently experiencing the effects of haze. Furthermore, the agency noted that weather reports indicate visibility has dropped below 3 kilometres.
The agency added that the haze is expected to persist over the Maldives for the next four days, carried by northeasterly winds.
Therefore, the agency has urged seafarers and individuals spending extended periods outdoors to pay special attention and take precautionary measures. The agency also requested the public to fully comply with the guidelines issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) regarding the situation.
