The President and First Lady have arrived in North Maalhosmadulu (Raa Atoll) Dhuvaafaru to participate in the official ceremony of the 44th Fishermen's Day of the Maldives.
The President and First Lady were welcomed to Dhuvaafaru by the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources Ahmed Shiyam, Member of Parliament for Dhuvaafaru constituency Mohamed Ali, and senior officials of the council. Upon their arrival, the residents of Dhuvaafaru extended a very warm welcome to the President.
This year's official Fishermen's Day ceremony and official activities are scheduled to be held in Dhuvaafaru. While many activities are planned to be held in Dhuvaafaru from the 9th to the 13th of this month to celebrate Fishermen's Day, a large number of people from the atoll, in addition to the residents of Dhuvaafaru, are participating in these activities.
