President and First Lady arrive in Dhuvaafaru to attend the official Fishermen's Day ceremony!

The President and First Lady have arrived in North Maalhosmadulu (Raa Atoll) Dhuvaafaru to participate in the official ceremony of the 44th Fishermen's Day of the Maldives.

The President and First Lady were welcomed to Dhuvaafaru by the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources Ahmed Shiyam, Member of Parliament for Dhuvaafaru constituency Mohamed Ali, and senior officials of the council. Upon their arrival, the residents of Dhuvaafaru extended a very warm welcome to the President.

This year's official Fishermen's Day ceremony and official activities are scheduled to be held in Dhuvaafaru. While many activities are planned to be held in Dhuvaafaru from the 9th to the 13th of this month to celebrate Fishermen's Day, a large number of people from the atoll, in addition to the residents of Dhuvaafaru, are participating in these activities.

While the fishing competition and children's evening included in the Fishermen's Day activities were held yesterday, a food exhibition is currently underway.

A fish cutting competition and a cooking competition named 'Thahavaru' are planned to be held today. The President and First Lady will visit to observe these activities. In addition, the President is scheduled to meet with the fishermen of Dhuvaafaru and fishermen present in Dhuvaafaru to participate in the Fishermen's Day activities at 14:00 today.

The Fishermen's Day ceremony will be held tonight. The ceremony will be graced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

More than 200 people, including state ministers, dignitaries, and fishermen from all over the Maldives, will participate in the activities held to celebrate Fishermen's Day.
