Practical work on the Lh. Kurendhoo harbour development project has commenced.
The project work was initiated at a special ceremony held yesterday. The ceremony was graced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The project work was initiated at a special ceremony held yesterday. The ceremony was graced by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
The practical work of the project was inaugurated by the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muthalib. The ceremony was attended by Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, MTCC Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Retired) Ahmed Saudhee, Kurendhoo Council members, and senior government officials.
Under this project, operations will include re-dredging 36,363 cubic meters of the previously dredged lagoon, constructing a 63-meter revetment, a 415-meter breakwater, a 243-meter long and 2-meter wide RC jetty, and a 60-meter long and 2-meter wide RC jetty.
This is a project awarded to MTCC to be completed within 450 days for 53.36 million Rufiyaa.
