Police have searched the Hulhumale Phase 1 Yellowfin Tuna Jetty area, discovering illicit drugs and taking them into police custody.
The area was searched by police on the 8th of this month while they were patrolling the island, prompted by the suspicious behavior of some individuals present at the location. The individuals were stopped and searched based on these suspicions.
Furthermore, during the search of the area, 23 rubber packets containing suspected illicit drugs were found. Police stated that these items were discovered hidden inside a dock fender at the Yellowfin Tuna Jetty.
Police confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with this case so far, and the matter is currently under investigation.
