The Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works has stated that Ramadan gifts have been distributed to over 53,000 households in the Male' region as of last night.
The Ministry stated that, in accordance with the pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, 53,308 cases of canned tuna, gifted by the government to every household for the blessed month of Ramadan 1447, have been distributed to households in the Greater Male' region as of last night.
The distribution of canned tuna cases as Ramadan gifts was commenced jointly by the Ministry and some state-owned enterprises on the night of January 24th. The distribution of tuna cases in the Male' region was concluded last night. However, the Ministry of Cities, Local Government and Public Works stated that those who have not collected their tuna cases for any reason will be issued cases until the first day of Ramadan, and starting today, the tuna cases will be distributed from the MIFCO center in Male'.
