Opportunity to submit ideas for the Fisheries and Ocean Resources Master Plan!

The Fisheries Ministry has opened the opportunity to submit ideas for the Fisheries and Ocean Resources Master Plan.

The "Fisheries and Ocean Resources Master Plan (2026-2045)" is a roadmap that provides solutions to current challenges in the fisheries sector and guides the sustainable development and management of fisheries and ocean resources.

The Ministry has published an online form to submit ideas on issues that need to be addressed when designing the 20-year master plan for fisheries and ocean resources. The Fisheries Ministry stated that the most important part of this initiative is gathering the views of those active in the fisheries industry, and through the published form, the opportunity is open to submit views on challenges faced in fisheries, policies, the reef fishery sector, ocean resources, and desired changes.

The Fisheries Ministry has stated that the information submitted through the form will be crucial in determining the vision for shaping the long-term development of fisheries and ocean resources. The Ministry also stated that based on the diverse experiences, thoughts, perspectives, and ideas on the direction this sector should take, the opportunity to determine the foundations and vision of this roadmap will be facilitated.

This includes vessel owners, skippers, captains, fishermen, pelagic or reef fishermen, fish processing business owners, individuals employed in the fish processing sector, fish buyers and suppliers, and those who supply fish to resorts.
