The opportunity to become a partner for the 'Maldives Protected and Conserved Areas Forum', scheduled to be held next year, has been opened.
Hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment on behalf of the Maldivian Government, the 'Maldives Protected and Conserved Areas Forum 2026' will be held from February 3 to 5 next year. This forum is an event that brings together local and international stakeholders involved in the management of protected areas in the Maldives to exchange ideas and discuss various topics.
The Ministry has now opened the opportunity and invited expressions of interest from parties interested in becoming partners for this forum. Interested parties are requested by the Ministry to complete the form in the provided link before 12:00 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
For further information regarding the forum, the Ministry requests to send an email before 12:00 on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Emails should be sent to protected.areas@environment.gov.mv.
The first Maldives Protected and Conserved Areas Forum was held from January 15-18 last year. A total of 80 delegates, including representatives from various countries and organizations around the world, participated in that forum.
