Olhuvelifushi Council and MTI to conduct Navigation Certificate Level 2 course

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has opened the opportunity to participate in the Navigation Certificate Level 2 course scheduled to be held in Lh. Olhuvelifushi.

Conducted jointly by the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, Olhuvelifushi Council, and MTI, this course is scheduled to begin on the 30th of this month. MTI has now opened registration for those who wish to participate in this course, which is planned to run until July 3. Interested individuals can register for the course by calling MTI's number 9450555. Enrollment can also be done by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv. The course fee is 1500 Rufiyaa.

MTI stated that this course, conducted with the aim of facilitating the acquisition of comprehensive expert knowledge and skills, will teach marine safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information. MTI mentioned that anyone who can speak Dhivehi and English and understand the course material can participate in this 30-hour course.

This course paves the way to obtain the license required to captain Category B, C, and D vessels traveling up to 24 miles outside the atolls of the Maldives.
