The GA. Nilandhoo Council has decided to lease land for a long term for fish boiling and drying operations.
The council has decided to lease a 2,000 square foot plot of land for a period of 10 years, located adjacent to the area currently leased for sea cucumber boiling and drying, on the side of the waste dump. The council today opened the opportunity for interested companies, local investments, partnerships, and individual businesses to submit bids to lease this land, which is being issued for fish boiling, drying, and salting.
The council has requested interested parties to visit the council office by 11:00 am on Tuesday, 02 September 2025, and submit the bid form. The council stated that the minimum bid price for the land is MVR 500, and a grace period of one month will be provided.
The council has formulated evaluation criteria to determine the winning bidder. According to the criteria, 85 points will be awarded for the proposed price for the land, and 15 points for experience. Points for work experience will be awarded by giving 3 points for each year of experience upon submission of an official document proving such work, or based on the duration of work, up to a maximum of 15 points.
