New batch of Niyami Course-2 to begin in Male'

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has announced its decision to start a new batch of the "Niyami Course-2" in Male'.

The course is scheduled to begin on May 4 at MTI's Male' campus. MTI has now opened the opportunity for interested individuals to register for the course. Those wishing to participate can register by calling MTI's number 9450555. Enrollment is also available by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.

The fee for this four-day (30-hour) course is MVR 2,500. According to MTI, participants must be capable of understanding the course materials and communicating in both English and Dhivehi.

This course, which paves the way to obtain the license required to captain Category-B vessels traveling up to 24 miles outside the atolls of the Maldives, covers navigation, communication, and general vessel information.
