New batch of MTI's Niyami course to begin in Male' next August

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) is preparing to start a new batch of the Niyami Certificate Level-1 course in Male' City next month.

MTI stated that the course is scheduled to begin on August 2 at MTI's Male' campus, and the opportunity to register is now open for those who wish to participate. Interested individuals can register by calling MTI's number 9450555. Enrollment can also be done by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.

The fee for this 150-hour course is 5500 Rufiyaa. MTI stated that anyone who can read and write in Dhivehi and knows basic mathematics can participate in this course.

Conducted with the aim of facilitating the acquisition of comprehensive expert knowledge and skills, MTI stated that this course will teach marine safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information. This course, which facilitates obtaining a captain's license for any vessel traveling in Maldivian waters, is conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.

Last week, MTI conducted the Niyami Certificate Level-2 course in Male' City and B. Fehendhoo. They are also preparing to start a new batch of the seafarers' crew course in Male' tomorrow. Looking at the course schedule for next August, a new batch of the Niyami Certificate Level-1 is planned to start on August 2, and a Marine Mechanic course on August 5 in Male'.
