The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has decided to conduct a new batch of the Niyami Certificate Level-2 course in Male' City this coming October.
The course is scheduled to begin on October 10 at MTI's Male' campus. MTI has now opened the opportunity for interested parties to register for the course. Those who wish to participate can register by calling MTI's number 9450555. Enrollment can also be done by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.
MTI states that this course, conducted with the aim of facilitating the acquisition of comprehensive expert knowledge and skills, will teach maritime safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information. The 30-hour course is open to anyone who can speak Dhivehi and English and can understand the course materials, according to MTI.
This course facilitates obtaining the license required to captain Category-B vessels that can travel up to 24 miles outside the atolls of the Maldives.
The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) is currently the fastest-growing training institute in the Maldivian maritime industry. The institute conducts many technical courses required to develop the maritime sector. These include Niyami Course-1, Niyami Course-2, Marine Mechanic Course, and Crew Course. In addition, it also conducts courses teaching cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and electrical installation.
