Navigation light issue resolved on Vaikaradhoo FAD

The issue with the navigation light on the trolling FAD deployed off HDh. Vaikaradhoo has been resolved.

The Fisheries Ministry stated that during the ongoing trip by the ministry's team to the northern atolls, it was noted that the navigation light on the trolling FAD installed off HDh. Vaikaradhoo was not turning on, and the issue has now been fixed.

The Vaikaradhoo trolling FAD was established in October 2023. The FAD is located 4.5 miles west of Vaikaramuraidhoo. The FAD number is C08V01.

Trolling FADs are specially designed for trolling and sport fishing. The trolling FAD is designed with a light visible from a distance and a radar reflector to easily identify the location of the FAD.
