Preparations are complete to begin the "My Hulhumale" fishing race tomorrow evening in Hulhumale with over sixty teams.
The "My Hulhumale" fishing race is an event organized jointly by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Ooredoo Maldives to celebrate 21 years since the initial settlement of Hulhumale.
HDC stated that a total of 64 teams submitted forms during the online registration period, which was open until the 7th of this month. HDC noted that the fishing race will be highly competitive and that they are now fully prepared for the event. The fishing race will begin tomorrow evening at 04:00 PM near the Hulhumale Ferry Terminal Park. The race will conclude tomorrow night at 10:00 PM.
HDC has decided to award a cash prize of MVR 21,000 to the first-place team among the participating teams in this tournament, which features large cash prizes. In addition, HDC stated that a cash prize of MVR 5,000 will be awarded to the person who catches the largest fish, and MVR 5,000 to the best fisherman (keyolhu).
While the My Hulhumale fishing race is ongoing tomorrow, HDC has also decided to hold "Skate Scape" specifically for skaters. HDC stated that this is an event held to provide an opportunity for rollerbladers, skateboarders, and scooter riders to showcase their skills. This event will take place tomorrow from 16:00 to 22:00 at the Hulhumale Ferry Terminal Park.
