MTI to start a new batch of Niyami course in Male' this month

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has decided to hold a new batch of the Niyami Certificate Level-1 course in Male' City.

The course is scheduled to begin on the 25th of this month at the MTI Male' campus. MTI has now opened the opportunity for interested individuals to register for the course. Those who wish to participate can register by calling MTI at 9450555. Enrollment can also be done by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.

The fee for this 150-hour course is 5500 Rufiyaa. MTI stated that anyone who can read and write Dhivehi and knows basic mathematics can participate in this course.

Aimed at facilitating the acquisition of comprehensive expert knowledge and skills, MTI stated that this course will teach marine safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information. This course, which paves the way to obtain a captain's license for any vessel traveling in Maldivian waters, is conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) is currently the fastest-growing training institute in the Maldivian maritime industry. The institute conducts many technical courses required to develop the maritime sector. These include Niyami Course-1, Niyami Course-2, Marine Mechanic Course, and Crew Course. In addition, it also conducts courses teaching cyber security, artificial intelligence, and electrical installation.
