MTI to start a new batch of Niyami Course-2

The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has announced that classes for the Niyami Certificate Level-2 course scheduled for this month will begin tomorrow.

MTI stated that the course will commence tomorrow at the MTI Male' campus, and the opportunity to participate is still open. Interested individuals can register by calling MTI at 9450555 or emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.

This course, which paves the way to obtain the license required to captain category B, C, and D vessels travelling up to 24 miles outside the Maldives' atolls, will teach maritime safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information, according to MTI. The 30-hour course is open to anyone who can speak Dhivehi and English and can understand the course materials, MTI stated.
