The Gadhdhoo Council has once again opened the opportunity to participate in "Niyami Course 2", scheduled to be conducted in Gadhdhoo by the Maritime Training Institute.
The Gadhdhoo Council stated that interested parties are requested to register via the council's email info@gadhdhoo.gov.mv or by visiting the office. The council office will be open on all official working days from 08:00 to 14:00. The deadline for registration is 14:00 on Sunday, 01 June 2025.
The council added that further information regarding the course will be provided to those who call 9900297.
Niyami Course-2 is a course that facilitates obtaining the license required to captain Category-B vessels, which can travel up to 24 miles outside the atolls of the Maldives.
The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) is currently the fastest-growing training institute in the Maldivian maritime industry. The institute conducts numerous technical courses required to develop the maritime sector. Niyami Course-2 is one such course. Although MTI's courses are centralized in Male' City, they are also being conducted targeting the atolls. Currently, in addition to Gadhdhoo, MTI is preparing to conduct Niyami Course-2 in Inguraidhoo and Omadhoo.
