The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) has opened the opportunity to participate in the Niyami Certificate Level-1 course scheduled to begin next month.
MTI stated that the course is scheduled to begin on February 2nd at the MTI Male' campus, and the opportunity to register is now open for interested parties. Those who wish to participate can register by calling the MTI number 9450555. Enrollment is also possible by emailing admin@mti.edu.mv.
The fee for this 150-hour course is 5500 Rufiyaa. MTI stated that anyone who can speak and write in Dhivehi or English and can understand the course materials can participate in this course.
MTI stated that this course, conducted with the aim of facilitating the acquisition of full expert knowledge and skills, will teach marine safety, navigation, vessel watchkeeping, and general dhoni information.
This course, which paves the way to obtain the license required to captain category A, B, C, and D vessels traveling in Maldivian waters, is conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
The Maritime Training Institute (MTI) is currently the fastest-growing training institute in the Maldivian maritime industry. The institute conducts many technical courses required to develop the maritime sector. These include Niyami Course-1, Niyami Course-2, Marine Mechanic Course, and Crew Course. In addition, courses teaching cyber security, artificial intelligence, and electrical installation are also conducted.
