The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has urged travelers to be cautious as the cargo boat "Balma-6", traveling from Hulhumale to Dhonmaagaa, capsized and some of its goods are drifting at sea.
The boat, which was traveling with four people, capsized this morning. Two of them have been rescued, while the Police and MNDF are currently working to locate the remaining two individuals.
MNDF stated that the boat capsized near Taj Exotica Resort, and since the vessel and some of its cargo are drifting, they urge travelers to pay attention. MNDF also noted that these items are estimated to be drifting westwards.
