A landing craft belonging to Sivec, a company of the Maldives National Defence Force, has capsized in the Kaashidhoo Sea.
MNDF stated that efforts are underway to rescue the people who were traveling on it. However, it was not stated how many people were on board when the landing craft capsized. It is also unclear exactly what time the incident occurred.
While 5 people rescued from the landing craft incident have been taken to Lh. Atoll Hospital so far, reports indicate that one of them has passed away.
