MIFCO Introduces App to Generate Auto Queue Numbers for Services

The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has launched a special application that allows fishermen to generate auto queue numbers to access its services.

Developed under the name "Mas Kiraa" to further facilitate access to services provided to fishermen, the application was introduced at the official ceremony held in Dhuvaafaru to mark the 45th Fishermen's Day. The application was inaugurated by Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim.

The "Mas Kiraa" application is designed to allow fishermen to obtain an auto-generated queue number in advance, without the involvement of a third party, when visiting MIFCO facilities and boats to weigh fish, and to access other services from the facilities. This application was designed based on a concept by Shafga Shafeeg (Keyolhage Dhiye), the owner of "Keyolha Maldives", and was developed and introduced jointly by Keyolha Maldives and MIFCO. MIFCO stated that the application was developed after extensively seeking the opinions and advice of fishermen.

To use the "Mas Kiraa" application, vessels must log in and register on the app. Queue numbers can then be obtained in advance for weighing fish, and buying water and ice from MIFCO facilities and boats. This is an application that will bring great ease to fishermen and MIFCO.

MIFCO stated that this application will provide many conveniences to fishermen. Through this application, fishermen have the opportunity to register their vessels. The application also allows users to view the amounts of fish previously weighed by the vessel and related statistics. This will enable fishermen to easily monitor the dates and amounts of fish they have weighed.

With this new application, the journeys fishermen make to obtain tokens will come to an end. It will also save a significant amount of diesel. Furthermore, it will serve as a tool to maintain the integrity of the services provided by MIFCO.
