Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has held discussions with the Maldivian Embassy in Japan to seek assistance from Japanese companies.

During the current trip by some senior officials of MIFCO to Japan, the main focus of the meeting held today with the Maldivian Embassy was on seeking assistance from Japanese companies to add further value to MIFCO's fish products and to develop the mariculture industry.

In these discussions, Deputy Ambassador Ahmed Adil, who is in charge of running the Maldivian Embassy in Japan, and the Embassy's Second Secretary Hawwa Samha participated. The participants of the meeting assured that the Embassy would provide full assistance and cooperation in this endeavor by MIFCO.
