Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has closed its fish shops for Eid.
MIFCO stated that its fish shops will be closed from the 5th to the 9th of this month on the occasion of Hajj Day and Eid al-Adha. Therefore, the MIFCO fish shop in Male', and the fish shops in Hulhumale' Phase 1 and Phase 2 will reopen at 8:30 am on the 10th of this month, according to MIFCO. MIFCO has apologized for any inconvenience this may cause to customers.
In connection with Eid, it has been decided not to purchase fish from fishermen at MIFCO's fisheries complexes and boats until coming Sunday. MIFCO also stated that ice will not be sold from ice plants during this period.
