Employees of the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) have presented a feast to the employees of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
MIFCO CEO Brigadier General (Retired) Farhath Shaheer stated that the feast presented yesterday was an initiative by MIFCO, gifted on behalf of all MIFCO employees, to support and encourage MACL employees in their hard national work to open the new terminal at Velana International Airport.
"MIFCO is also a national company, with very hard-working people in national service. MACL is also such a national company. The hard work they are doing is a national effort. This is something my employees did with the intention of feeling that national effort and participating with them in heart and spirit," the MIFCO CEO said.
During the visit to the airport yesterday to present the feast, MIFCO management and Male' office employees observed the preparations underway to open the new terminal. The MIFCO team was welcomed by MACL CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. MACL management and some employees also participated in the event held to present the feast.
The new terminal of Velana International Airport, the main gateway of the Maldives, is scheduled to open on the 26th of this month. Economic experts have noted that this will bring a revolutionary change to the Maldivian economy.
