MIFCO CEO Listens to Difficulties and Concerns of Thinadhoo Fishermen

The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), Mohamed Anas, has listened to the difficulties and concerns faced by the fishermen of Thinadhoo City.

MIFCO's CEO Anas listened to the concerns of Thinadhoo fishermen during his ongoing visits to MIFCO centers, meeting with fishermen individually during his visit to GDh. Thinadhoo to inspect the condition of MIFCO's facilities established in the city. In this regard, he met with fishermen at the Thinadhoo fishermen's jetty area and the fishermen's square, listening to the difficulties and concerns they face. MIFCO stated that the CEO listened to the concerns raised by individual fishermen and assured them that he would work to find the solutions the fishermen are requesting for these issues.

Furthermore, MIFCO stated that during these meetings, discussions were held with the fishermen regarding ways to further strengthen the services provided to them by MIFCO.

While MIFCO's CEO Mohamed Anas met with Thinadhoo fishermen during his trip to Huvadhu Atoll, MIFCO stated that this is part of the efforts to strengthen relations with fishermen in various regions of the Maldives, closely understand the condition and needs of fishermen, and further strengthen MIFCO's services and operations.

During this trip, CEO Anas also inspected the progress of the Thinadhoo Fisheries Complex project, which has been initiated to purchase, chill, and store fish in Thinadhoo. Once the work on this factory being established in Thinadhoo is completed, the difficulties faced by Huvadhu Atoll fishermen, especially the fishermen of South Huvadhu Atoll, in weighing fish will be greatly resolved.

MIFCO stated that the company's aim is to work together with fishermen, find solutions to the difficulties they face, and sustainably develop the fishing industry.
