MIFCO announces search for a Project Procurement Specialist

The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has announced a search for a Project Procurement Specialist.

MIFCO is seeking a Project Procurement Specialist for the Maldives Fish Sector Capacity Strengthening Project, conducted jointly by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Maldivian Government.

According to MIFCO, the main responsibility of this position is to manage all procurement-related matters of the project in accordance with IsDB guidelines and international best practices. MIFCO also stated that eligible candidates from IsDB member countries can apply for this position. The deadline for interested parties to submit their applications is April 28, and those who wish to clarify further information can do so by calling between 8:00 and 16:00 on official working days.

The Maldives Fish Sector Capacity Strengthening Project is a USD 70.42 million project aimed at comprehensively upgrading the infrastructure, operations, and institutional capacity of the Maldives' fisheries sector. This project will bring significant progress to the Maldives' fisheries sector, increase the sector's productivity, and benefit the Maldivian economy. While the Maldivian Government gives special importance to the fisheries sector, this project is seen as an important step towards developing the sector.
