Metal junk and TFS scrap metal at Felivaru to be auctioned off

Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), which operates the Felivaru Fisheries Complex (FFC), has opened an auction to sell metal junk and TFS scrap metal located at the complex.

MIFCO has decided to auction 50 metric tonnes of metal junk and 60 metric tonnes of TFS. The opportunity to participate in the auction is open, and registration can be done via email at bid@mifco.mv. Participation requires a deposit of MVR 20,000. MIFCO stated that the deposit money will be refunded to those who do not win the auction.

Bids can be submitted until 11:00 am on March 3. The bid opening will be held at 11:00 am on March 4, 2026, at the MIFCO Head Office meeting room. According to MIFCO, the auction will commence with the highest written price offered per metric tonne, and will proceed among all those present.

As the quantities of the items to be auctioned are estimates, variations are possible. Therefore, MIFCO requests interested parties to contact Felivaru at 7679060 to clarify information about these items.
