Meedhoo residents present a 'Bondibai' feast to the Fisheries Ministry!

To celebrate and express gratitude for the deployment of a trolling FAD in the area, the residents of Dh. Meedhoo have presented a traditional 'Bondibai' feast to the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources.

The feast was presented on behalf of the citizens by the Meedhoo constituency president of the ruling PNC party. Minister Ahmed Shiyam received the offering. Senior officials of the ministry participated in the ceremony held today.

A special trolling FAD for Dh. Meedhoo was deployed 5.5 miles east of the island last Friday. The Ministry stated that the FAD number is K09V02.

The Ministry's team has now started another round of FAD deployments. In this regard, a trolling FAD was deployed near K. Gaafaru last Wednesday, and a pole-and-line FAD was deployed near L. Fares yesterday.
