GDh. Madaveli Council has decided to hold a fishing competition to mark this year's Fishermen's Day.
The "Madaveli Council Uhunthakuraa Masrace 2024", organized targeting the residents of Madaveli, is scheduled to be held on Friday, December 6, according to the Madaveli Council.
The council opened the opportunity to participate in this fishing competition today, which is held with the aim of marking Fishermen's Day, appreciating fishermen, reviving the spirit of fishing, reviving social spirit, strengthening relations among fishermen, and increasing and maintaining friendship and unity among the people. While the opportunity to participate is open to Madaveli fishermen, associations, groups, and institutions, the council stated that although team members must be citizens over 18 years of age, children under 18 can also be included in the team if a guardian agrees to take responsibility. The council stated that a team must consist of exactly 3 members.
