The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has stated that they are searching for two missing people after a landing craft capsized late last night, leaving one dead.
Seven people fell overboard in the incident where the 100-foot landing craft named "Almark-Fiya", traveling from Male' to Eriyadu Resort, capsized. While four of them were rescued, MNDF Coast Guard divers recovered the body of one of the three missing people from underwater this morning.
The deceased in this incident is 38-year-old Ahmed Shifan from Sarusooneege, GA. Dhaandhoo.
