The N. Velidhoo Council has decided to lease a plot of land from the N. Velidhoo Industrial Zone for the construction of a boatyard.
The N. Velidhoo Council stated that it has decided to lease a 7,200 square foot plot of land from the Industrial Zone to build a boatyard for constructing and repairing vessels. Furthermore, the council requested interested parties to attend the council office at 11:00 am on 23 January 2025 to submit their estimates. The council also stated that estimates submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Estimates can be submitted by parties registered under the Business Registration Act, parties registered under the Sole Proprietorship Act, and businesses registered under one of the Small and Medium Enterprise categories, specifically those who have been issued a vessel number. Land for the construction of a boatyard for a vessel number will be leased for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months. The council also stated that the party applying for the land must not have any outstanding payments owed to the council.
