A decision has been made to lease land from the R. Fainu harbour area for a fuel business, and it has been opened for bidding.
The Fainu Council stated that a 1,500 square foot plot of land from the western area of the island's harbour has been designated to be leased for the fuel business. The opportunity to submit bids for interested parties has been open since yesterday.
The council requested that parties wishing to participate in the bidding complete the "Bid Registration Form" and submit it via email to procurement@fainu.gov.mv or in person at the council office before 13:00 on 23 January 2025. The council noted that bids for this work can only be submitted by parties registered with the Ministry of Economic Development under the Business Act.
Participation in the bid requires a fee of MVR 100. Bids will be accepted until 13:00 on 30 January 2025. The bids will be opened at 13:00 on the same day in the meeting hall of the council office, according to the council.
The bid opening will take place in the presence of the bidding parties, and if a representative is sent to submit the bid, a letter indicating this must be submitted, the council said.
