The Kudahuvadhoo Council has stated that they want to build a fish factory on the island.
The council made this statement during a meeting held today with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to discuss the most pressing development needs of the island. The meeting took place this afternoon at the Kudahuvadhoo Atoll Council Secretariat.
During the meeting, the council shared the island's development needs with the President. In this regard, they highlighted the difficulties with the Kudahuvadhoo harbour and detailed to the President how the citizens want the harbour project to proceed. The council also requested the President to establish a fish factory as soon as possible.
Speaking at the meeting, the President stated that he would look into the matters raised by the council. Through the Ministers and senior officials of government institutions who participated in the meeting, he also shared the latest information on the work being done by the government regarding the issues highlighted by the council.
