Kihaadhoo to lease land for boat building and repair work

The B. Kihaadhoo Island Council has decided to lease land for a long term for the purpose of building and repairing vessels.

The Kihaadhoo Council stated that they have decided to lease land for a period of 10 years through a bidding process for boat building and repair work, and the opportunity to participate in the bid has been opened today for interested parties. The council added that registration for the bid can be completed by emailing the filled 'Bid Registration Form' and the receipt of payment for the bid document to the council office's email procurement@kihaadhoo.gov.mv.

The bid document is sold for MVR 2,000.00, and the council stated that the payment for the bid document is non-refundable. The council also mentioned that the bid document will be available from the Kihaadhoo Council Office until 13:00 on Thursday, March 06, 2025, and parties who do not purchase the bid document will not be able to participate in the bidding.

The council stated that bids can only be submitted by 100% Maldivian-owned private businesses, companies, and Maldivian partnerships registered in the Maldives, as well as parties registered under the Sole Proprietorship Act and the Companies Act.

An information session for parties who purchase the bid document will be held at 11:15 am on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Kihaadhoo Council Office. The submission and opening of bids will take place at 11:15 am on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Kihaadhoo Council Office.

If any further information regarding the bid is required, it must be submitted in writing to the council office before 14:00 on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
