The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has decided to auction off the junk scrap located at the K. Kandu Oiy Giri Fishing Village, which is operated by the company.
MIFCO stated that it intends to auction 30-40 metric tonnes of junk scrap at the Kandu Oiy Giri Fishing Village, noting that these are estimated figures and may be subject to change. MIFCO also requested interested parties to contact Kandu Oiy Giri at 7786229 to clarify information regarding the items.
The auction will be held on February 3rd at 11:00 am in the MIFCO Head Office meeting room. The auction will commence with the highest written bid per metric tonne, and will proceed among all attendees starting from that highest bid. MIFCO stated that parties who do not submit their initial bid in a sealed envelope at the start of the auction will not be allowed to participate.
Only parties who register for the auction via email at bid@mifco.mv before 11:00 am on February 2nd will be able to participate. A deposit of MVR 50,000 is required to participate in the auction. MIFCO stated that the deposit money will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders.
