The issue with the freezing system at the state-owned Kooddoo Fisheries Complex (KFC) has been resolved.
Earlier today, a technical issue arose due to a leak in a pipe of KFC's freezing system, temporarily halting direct fish weighing from the Kooddoo jetty.
MIFCO has just stated that the issue encountered today has now been resolved and operations have been brought back to normal. Therefore, fish will be purchased from vessels at the Kooddoo jetty according to MIFCO's schedule.
Although fish weighing at the jetty was suspended due to today's issue, fish was purchased from vessels onto the Randhi-30, which was docked at the Kooddoo harbour at the time.
