The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that international efforts are underway to find a permanent solution to the adverse effects of the haze currently affecting various parts of the Maldives.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the haze affecting the Maldives, it was stated that the Maldivian government is giving special priority to the adverse effects caused by poor air quality in the Maldives. The press release also noted that, as the Maldives is a small island nation, the government will always give the highest priority to environmental protection and sustainable development.
In this regard, the press release stated that the government is undertaking numerous efforts with foreign countries at the regional and international levels to improve the air quality of the Maldives and find a permanent solution to this issue. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the government's efforts in this regard include conducting scientific research, exchanging information, and working towards a permanent solution through discussions with regional countries.
