Installation of quay wall blocks has commenced at the Addu City Feydhoo harbour.
The project contractor, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), stated that the installation of the harbour's quay wall blocks is currently underway at the site.
Under this project, the work includes dredging a 75,398 cubic meter area of the harbour basin, dredging a 5,320 cubic meter area of the channel, constructing a 20-meter breakwater, installing a 157-meter revetment, installing a 501-meter sand-filled outer revetment, installing an 86-meter sand-filled inner revetment, constructing a 445-meter quay wall, installing mooring buoys, building an 11-meter long by 11-meter wide ramp, building an 18-meter long by 2-meter wide concrete bridge, installing harbour lights, constructing a 2,040 square meter pavement, and installing 413 meters of curbs.
This project was awarded to MTCC to be completed within 540 days for 73.95 million Rufiyaa. The project was awarded to MTCC on 1 June 2023. The practical work of the project began on 5 November 2025.
