The R. Innamaadhoo Council has opened bidding for plots of land designated for salted fish processing on the southeastern corner of the island.
The island council decided in its 8th meeting to lease four plots of land, measuring 30 feet long and 20 feet wide (600 square feet), for salted fish processing. These plots are being leased for a period not exceeding five years, to be used for salting fish, trading salted fish, and cooking and drying fish. The decision to lease the land was made and initially opened for bidding in December last year. At that time, plot number 1 out of the 4 plots was leased.
The council has once again opened the opportunity for interested parties to register for bidding to lease the remaining three plots. The council stated that parties wishing to acquire leased land through the bidding process can register by completing the bid registration form and emailing it to the council office at info@innamaadhoo.gov.mv or by sending it via Viber to the council's number: 7380052.
