The R. Inguraidhoo Island Council has ordered unregistered vessels kept at the island's boatyard to be registered.

In a public announcement issued today, the council stated that a specific area has been designated for beaching and repairing vessels on the island, and permission is granted to parties registered with the council under the harbor management regulations. However, as the council has noticed unregistered vessels in the area, they have ordered these vessels to be registered starting today.

The council requested parties repairing vessels in the boatyard without registration to register with the council before 20 November 2025. Additionally, the council stated that among the beached vessels, those belonging to the island will receive a fee-free period of 30 days from the date of beaching.
