Information regarding investment opportunities in the Maldives' fisheries industry has been shared with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The Ministry of Fisheries was represented at the "Investment Information Forum" held today at Meeruma Hotel, specifically for the visiting CII delegation, by State Minister Aminath Hussain Shareef and Director Ahmed Shifaz.
During this forum, which was also attended by the Ministry of Economic Development and other relevant Maldivian authorities, representatives from the Fisheries Ministry shared investment opportunities available to Indian investors and businesses in the Maldives' mariculture industry, fish processing facilities and technology, and sports fishing marina development projects, and clarified the procedures required to proceed with investments.
The government is undertaking numerous efforts to diversify the Maldivian economy and increase the benefits derived from marine resources. Facilitating opportunities for investors in the fisheries sector is one of these efforts. Therefore, information related to this is being disclosed at various business events held in the Maldives and abroad, as well as on international platforms where the Maldives is represented.
