Implementation of Landhoo Harbour Management Regulation begins

The implementation of the N. Landhoo Harbour Management Regulation has begun.

The Landhoo Council stated that the "N. Landhoo Harbour Management Regulation" was formulated with the objective of providing equal and easy services to all parties using the Landhoo harbour, and that the regulation has been enforced and implemented starting yesterday.

According to this regulation, mooring vessels and loading or unloading goods contrary to the signboards installed at the island's harbour is prohibited. Furthermore, as the fish market is open to the public, unloading fish, cutting fish, and dumping fish guts into the lagoon in any area of the harbour other than the fish market is prohibited.

In connection with the implementation of this regulation, the council has publicly announced and instructed all parties to remove items currently placed on the harbour quay wall, the adjoining area, and the harbour area before 10 January 2026. The council also stated that after the given deadline, action will be taken in accordance with the regulation regarding items kept in the harbour area in violation of the regulation, illegally moored vessels, and other matters specified in the regulation.

The council appealed to act in accordance with the harbour management regulation and the signboards installed at the harbour when mooring vessels and loading or unloading goods. Additionally, to make the harbour an easily accessible place for everyone, it requested all parties to comply with the "N. Landhoo Harbour Management Regulation" and provide cooperation to the council.
