IITE Maritime Academy to Start New Batch of Niyami Course

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to conduct another batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City.

IITE Maritime Academy stated that classes for the course will begin on December 7, and interested participants can now register by calling 7921961.

This 30-hour course paves the way for obtaining the license required to captain Category C, B, and D vessels. Conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the course teaches maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information about vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The academy has successfully conducted 583 batches of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' and the atolls so far. Courses commonly conducted by the academy include Niyami Certificate-1, Crew Course, and Marine Mechanic Course, in addition to Niyami Certificate-2. Various batches of these courses are conducted in Male' and the atolls every year. It is noted that these are high-quality courses conducted with the permission of the Transport Ministry.
