IITE Maritime Academy to Start New Batch of Niyami Course in Male' Next Month

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a new batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City next month.

IITE Maritime Academy stated that the new batch of Niyami Certificate-2 is scheduled to begin in Male' on the second day of next month. The academy mentioned that interested individuals can register by calling 7921961.

This 30-hour course paves the way for obtaining the license required to captain Category C, B, and D vessels. Conducted with the permission of the Maldives Transport and Civil Aviation Authority, the course covers maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information about vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The academy has successfully conducted 581 batches of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' and the atolls so far. The courses generally conducted by the academy include Niyami Certificate-2, Niyami Certificate-1, Crew Course, and Marine Mechanic Course. Various batches of these are conducted every year in Male' and the atolls. It is noted that these are high-quality courses conducted with the permission of the Transport Ministry.
