IITE Maritime Academy to Start New Batch of Marine Mechanic Course

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a new batch of the Marine Mechanic course.

The academy stated that classes for the new batch of the Marine Mechanic course are scheduled to begin in Male' on April 16. Those wishing to participate in the course can now register by calling the academy's mobile number 7921961, the academy said.

Subjects taught in this 30-hour course include marine engineering, electrical, electronic, and control engineering, as well as maintenance and repair. In addition, IITE Maritime Academy stated that the course will cover relevant regulations, environmental protection information, maritime safety, and first aid.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The courses commonly conducted by the academy include the mechanic course, crew course, navigation certificate-1, and navigation certificate-2. Every year, various such courses are successfully conducted in Male' and the atolls.
