IITE Maritime Academy to Start New Batch of Marine Mechanic Course

The IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a new batch of its Marine Mechanic course.

The academy stated that classes for the Marine Mechanic course are scheduled to begin on April 12 in Male'. The opportunity to participate in the course is now open, and those wishing to enroll can register by calling the academy's mobile number at 7921961.

Subjects taught in this 30-hour course include marine engineering, electrical, electronic, and control engineering, as well as maintenance and repair. In addition, the IITE Maritime Academy stated that the course will cover relevant regulations, environmental protection information, maritime safety, and first aid.

The IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. Courses commonly conducted by the academy include the mechanic course, crew course, navigation certificate-1, and navigation certificate-2. Various courses are successfully conducted every year in Male' and across the atolls.
