IITE Maritime Academy to start a new batch of the seafarer course in Male'

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a new batch of the seafarer course in Male' City.

The Maritime Academy stated that classes for the new batch of seafarers will begin on the 14th of this month. Interested individuals can register by calling 7921961, the academy said.

Anyone who understands the course material, can read and write in Dhivehi or English, knows basic mathematics, and knows how to swim can participate in this 12-hour course.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The courses generally conducted by the academy include the seafarer course, mechanic course, Certificate 1 in Navigation, and Certificate 2 in Navigation. Various batches of these courses are conducted in Male' and the atolls every year.
