IITE Maritime Academy to Start a New Batch of the Niyami Course in Male' This Month

IITE Maritime Academy has decided to conduct an additional batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City this month.

IITE Maritime Academy stated that the additional batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course is scheduled to begin in Male' on the 23rd of this month. The academy also mentioned that interested parties can register by calling 7921961.

This 30-hour course paves the way for obtaining the license required to captain Category B, C, and D vessels. Conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the course teaches maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information about vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. To date, the academy has successfully conducted 582 batches of the Niyami Certificate-2 course across Male' and the atolls. The courses commonly conducted by the academy include Niyami Certificate-1, Crew Course, and Marine Mechanic Course, in addition to Niyami Certificate-2. Various batches of these courses are conducted every year in Male' and the atolls. It is noted that these are high-quality courses conducted with the approval of the Transport Ministry.
