IITE Maritime Academy to start a new batch of the Niyami course in Male' next month

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a new batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City next month.

The Maritime Academy stated that the new batch of the Niyami Certificate Course-2 is scheduled to begin in Male' on the 5th of next month. The academy mentioned that interested parties can register by calling 7921961.

This 30-hour course paves the way for obtaining the license required to captain Category C, B, and D vessels. Conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the course teaches maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information about vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The courses commonly conducted by the academy include the crew course, mechanic course, Niyami Certificate-1, and Niyami Certificate-2. Various batches of these courses are conducted in Male' and the atolls every year.
