IITE Maritime Academy to start a new batch of Niyami course in Male' on the 21st

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to start a batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City.

The Maritime Academy stated that the new batch of Niyami Course-2 is scheduled to begin on the 21st of this month. The academy mentioned that interested individuals can register by calling 7921961.

This course, which paves the way to obtain the license required to captain Category C, B, and D vessels, is conducted over a duration of 30 hours. Conducted with the permission of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, the course teaches maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information about vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The courses generally conducted by the academy include the crew course, mechanic course, Niyami Certificate-1, and Niyami Certificate-2. Various batches of these courses are conducted every year in Male' and the atolls.
